The NJ 100 is just about here, and I'm excited!
I unfortunately got sick after my last post and was sick for about a week and a half. I missed quite a bit of running, and did no running at all last weekend, which was two weeks out from the race. I was hoping to race the Seneca Greenway 50K as a tune up, but what can you do?
I missed a lot of running and was worried about my fitness but was encouraged by a great run on Wednesday. I did 10 miles easy on Wednesday morning and 6 miles Wednesday night. 4 of those miles were at 6:00, and it felt incredibly easy. Big confidence booster.
So I'll do one was long run today, do a bit of faster running on Monday/Tuesday to stay sharp, and then get rested for the big race.
Wish me luck!
