6/26/11: Training Update

I've had a few great weeks of training. Here is the quick summary:

Week of 6/11

  • Saturday: 25 miles with stairmaster and strength training
  • Sunday: 30 mile trail run
  • Monday: Off for work travel
  • Tuesday: 9 miles
  • Wednesday: 7 miles
  • Thursday: 5 miles
  • Friday: 9 miles
  • Total: 85 miles

Week of 6/18

  • Saturday: 20 miles (12 with Dad when the parents were in town)
  • Sunday: 22 mile trail run
  • Monday: 12 + strength training
  • Tuesday: 11 miles easy
  • Wednesday: 11 miles with speed/hill workout (2mi @ 6:00 and 2mi @ 10:00 w/ 10% grade)
  • Thursday: 9 miles with 3 miles at 7% grade
  • Friday: 10 miles
  • Total: 95 miles

So two solid weeks of training! I felt good throughout and am looking forward to keeping the mileage high for several more weeks.
